Sci-Tech invites the public to a free telescopic astronomy event on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 9:00pm.
Featured at this observing session will be the planet Jupiter with its moons, as well as the planet Mars. The night is also within the assumed peak of the Lyrid meteor shower, which is known for its occasional fireballs.
Sci-Tech staff will be on hand to help viewers observe telescopic images and guide viewers around the sky. The event will be held in Watertown’s Thompson Park, on West Tower Drive, across from the 10th Mountain Division Monument.
Observers should plan to dress warmly.
In the event of overcast skies, the astronomy night will be cancelled.
