A variety of free Sci-Tech activities are available to the public during August, including the Cheddar Cheese Festival in Adams and the Fort Drum Outdoor Adventure Day, as well as a number of Telescopic Astronomy Observing nights.
Cheddar Cheese Festival – Saturday, August 3, 10:00am to 3:00pm – Sci-Tech will set up a variety of interactive exhibits in the Kids Zone, inside the Six Town Meeting House in Adams. Visit www.cheddarcheesefestival.com for further information.
Fort Drum Outdoor Adventure Day – Saturday, August 17, 10:00am to 4:00pm. Sci-Tech will feature interactive bubble activities near the Museum off of Munn’s Corner Road. We will also be holding 2 Telescopic Astronomy Observing nights. Information will be updated on Sci-Tech’s astronomy phone line prior to each event, 315-788-2738. The currently planned dates are as follows:
- August 12, 2024 – Monday 8:30pm – on West Tower Drive across from the monument at Thompson Park in Watertown
- August 14, 2024 – Wednesday 9:00pm – behind the library at Thousand Island Park on Wellesley Island, at 42743 St. Lawrence Avenue, Thousand Island Park, NY.
